DIY Apparel + Sleeping Bag Repairs

We're Rough On Our Gear.

We love skiing trees, stoking fires and sharing bags with pups. Sometimes we forget that our jackets and sleeping bags aren't made of chainmail and accidents happen. Patching your bag or apparel is an easy at-home fix that gives you a cool badge of backcountry honor. Do NOT use an iron on patch.

Fix It:

1. Makes sure the nylon wound is very clean. Spot clean the damaged area with a mild rubbing alcohol wipe to remove all dirt, debris and oil.

2. When your jacket is bone dry, apply your patch. We recommend Tenacious Tape by Gear Aid, NoSo patches, or K tape.

3. Work the patch in really well. Knead it with your fingers to eliminate any air bubbles or corners that could peel up.

4. Get out there and chase the next epic battle scar!

Pro Tip: If you have a pinhole size tear, dab on a spot of Gear Aid's Seam Grip. Let it dry for 12-24 hours.
