To choose a sleeping bag for camping, pick a sleeping bag temperature rating that is below the coldest temperature you'll be camping in. If you’re on the fence between two temperature ratings, go with the warmer option. You can always unzip your bag to cool down, but there’s little you can do to make yourself warmer.
ISO testing standards assume the sleeper will be wearing only base layers and a warm hat for optimal performance. Wool or cotton layers work best to help wick sweat away from the body to help regulate a comfortable body temperature for sleeping. We also recommend wearing socks to keep your toes warm when the camping in cooler temperatures.
Big Agnes System sleeping bags are designed with a sleeve for attaching your sleeping pad. This keeps you secure on top of your pad to create the most comfortable sleeping setup on the market. They are designed without insulation between your bag and your pad for maximum comfort and weight savings, so you'll want to pair a system bag with an appropriately insulated air sleeping pad.
Best sleeping bag ever!
